Things all College/ Sixth Form students need!

It's that time of year again, the summer has ended and you're preparing back to school/college. If you are a newbie to the whole sixth form/college thing then I must tell you that sixth form/college is nothing like school. Even though you only have 3/4 subjects you will have more work than you have ever seen before... sorry to disappoint you :(
I went to a Sixth Form College last September and I thought it wouldn't be such a huge change from school ... but I was wrong! In Sixth Form/ College you are more independent and you have to look out for yourself and come prepared with all the right stationery.

Last September I bought a lot of stationary but that was not enough ... I had to go back shopping to get even more. Anyway, to stop you making the same mistake as me I have created a list of some of the things that you may need:
  •  A4 arch file ( at least 6 ) - I took 4 subjects in year 12 and I had 8 full A$ arch files! binder files are only good for the first week
  • Hole puncher/staples - must have essentials in college unless you want papers flying in your bag
  • Dividers - you will cover so many different topics that it is necessary to keep them all separated and organised
  • USB stick - is there anything worse than losing all the work that you spent hours on?
  • Highlighters-  at least you can make your notes colourful for all that revision yet to come ...
  • Cue cards - REVISION
  •  Fine liners - they will brighten up your notes... trust me

  • Umbrella- we all know our lovely British weather
  • Money- a little bit of energy from a chocolate bar or from a drink is always a good decision
  • Paper- and when I say paper I mean a lot of paper
  • Body spray- you may not look your best at college all the time but at least you will smell nice and that is always a plus
  • Tissues - everyone needs tissues
  • Headphones - music is always a good medicine
  • Student ID card - important for EXAMS!

  • Diary Planner- homework, homework and homework! Don't write your homework on your hand - this never works
  • Paracetamol- for those random headaches that you get sometimes
  • WIFI password - because who can spend their whole time reading notes
  • Timetable - I keep a picture of my timetable on my phone
  • Mints/chewing gum- I would not tell anyone that you have these though
  • Phone charger/power bank - your phone will not last the whole day
  • Pens and pencils - I would buy many as you will lose most of them
  • Hair ties - for when you want to tie your hair up
  • Calculator - essential even if you are not doing maths

  • And most importantly a SMILE -  try your hardest to enjoy college/ sixth form

I hope that you have found this useful and if you are starting college/ sixth form for the first time in September then I wish you all the best luck!!!

Fairy light + Polaroids

Hello! Hello! Hello!

A couple of weeks ago I did a little DIY project for a blank wall in my bedroom using Polaroid pictures and fairy lights... yes Pinterest inspired me but lets be honest who has not been inspired by Pinterest. I mean their wedding inspirations are the best or the little healthy snacks!

Anyway, this DIY project is super-duper easy for everyone to repeat and I promise that it will turn out the same... maybe even better.

To get started you will need:

  • Polaroid pictures ( I didn't have any at the time so I printed normal pictures using Cheerz which is an app that allows you to print Polaroid like pictures)
  • Fairy lights with pegs (battery operated)
  • Hooks ( these hooks are self-adhesive and are so good as they don't peal of your paint when you take them off)

The steps are pretty simple as all you have to do is stick the hooks to the place that you desire and then you just attach the fairy lights on the hooks as shown in the pictures below. The final step is to add pictures of your choice.

Hope you have enjoyed this little DIY and comment down below if you would like to see more of these simple DIY's.

DressLily

Recently I had the pleasure to work with Dress Lily who have many sales right now such as a 10% discount for new signups and also a 90% discount off sales. Dress Lily is an online fashion retailer shop that has many on trend clothes that are priced at an affordable price; such a perfect equation for shopping.

The first thing that I purchased was this pink purse as my purse that I bought a couple of months ago broke. This purse was at a price of $9.44 but unfortunately, the pink colour has sold out but if you are on a hunt for a new purse then there is a blue and brown version of this purse which I would highly recommend as it's an affordable price meaning that you'll have money to put in it. My friend once bought a purse for £45 and she had no money to put in it at the end!

The next thing that I picked from Dress Lily was this tassel cardigan which is a perfect solution for those cold mornings when you get up and just want to carry your blanket to work or school. This cardigan was at a price of £23.49 and only comes in one size however I'm sure that it will fit many sizes as I usually purchase clothes which are size4/6 and this fit me.

The last thing that I got off Dress Lily was this lace up top which was at a price of $14.90 however, the top is too big for me :( I will be giving this top to my friend as it would look lovely with a pair of jeans and brown boots. I'm so upset that it's too big for me as I really like it and it's so easy to pair the top with anything really.

I apologise for the quality of my pictures on this post but winter and blogging plus photography are not the best combinations

Zaful shopping

December 5th

Hello! Hello! Hello! Only 20 days till Christmas and I'm super-duper excited for it this year actually I'll be honest I'm excited every single year.

A couple of weeks ago I was very kindly approached by Zaful which is a great shopping website especially at this time of the year when you are looking for the perfect presents but have a tight budget. I will even give you my Christmas promise that the clothes come high quality and there are no problems with them. When buying online, I am always worried that the clothes I buy won't look the same that I expected them to look however for this website I can 100% promise that they will look exactly the same.

Zip Up Alien Sweatshirt Jacket - $16.84

The first product that I purchased was this Zip Up Alien Sweatshirt Jacket which my cousin Emilia absolutely adores (her Instagram is emciax_ if you would like to check it out. She only has about 1-2 pictures but that's because she is starting her feed again. Promise you won't be disappointed with her pictures when she posts them. ). Anyway back to the origin of the post. This jacket is very trendy now and I have more frequently seen the alien symbol on Instagram posts - I love this jacket this much as it looks so nice with a pair of jeans and converse.

Nothing beats a warm scarf on those cold mornings especially since it's usually -1 when I wake up brrr. This scarf is so warm and big that when I wrap myself in it I can barely see but that's the good thing about it! The scarf, in my opinion, is very trendy, the monochrome colours go with everything and it's so easy to layer it with anything especially if you have a parka coat.

Off the Shoulder Elastic Waist Tiny Floral Print Dress - $19.99
This purchase is more of a summery clothing however I couldn't resist buying this dress as I think that it will look perfect during the summer holidays especially with curled hair and a floral hairband! The dress is very light which I love about it as you don't want something warm for the summer especially since you'll be sweating anyway.

1st December- Teeny Weeny Sammy Dress haul

Hello, my lovelies! How are you all ? I honestly cannot believe that it is the 1st of December already, I mean it was only Summer like last week! I guess time really does fly by quickly the older you get.

I was very lucky over the past month to collaborate with three stylish shops; Zaful, SammyDress and Dress Lily. Now I've collaborated with SammyDress before but I could not decline the offer when I was asked to collaborate again .

Stunning DIY Gold With White Sequins Square Pillow Case

The first item that I picked up was this gold with white sequins pillow case that I've been loving ever since it came to my house. Basically, I saw a similar pillow like this one on Facebook and when I searched the price of that pillow that I saw on Facebook it was around £50 for one so I was like ' Um. I don't actually need it .....' *sigh*. However, SammyDress offers a similar version of this pillow at a much affordable price of $9.68-  now that's a bargain!

Pineapple Badge Embellished Bomber Jacket

I've wanted a bomber jacket for so long now that I can't even remember when the urge came to have one. I guess it makes me feel a bit like I'm in the movie Grease! I saw this bomber jacket with badges and I loved it straight away. I guess I'm obsessed with badges on stuff this month as I recently purchased ripped boyfriend jeans with badges too. This jacket comes in three colours; navy, green and black. I purchased the green bomber jacket because I feel like my wardrobe contains too many dark coloured clothes. The cost of this bomber jacket is $26.37 which is the average price for a bomber jacket like this.

Only 24 days left until Christmas!!
